John Ball Zoo is accredited by the Assoc. of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA). It is home to over 1,400 animals including lions, tigers, grizzly bear, chimpanzees, penguins, and many more. It features the only funicular (tram) in a Zoo in the world. Summer months offer a zipline, ropes course, petting corral, walk-thru parakeets and wallabies and many up-close animal encounters.
